On a clear day the lush, green mountains of the BVI seem close enough to touch from this picturesque, family-oriented resort. White-tile rooms have kitchenettes; roomy duplex suites are good for larger families. The beach, with a half-mile of powdery white sand with excellent snorkeling and windsurfing, is a major selling point.

Favorite beach on the island; best snorkeling
Great beach... Excellent water sports and snorkeling; great reef. For snorkeling this is best beach... we always stay here. We like to cook breakfast & lunch in the fully equipped kitchen in the suite (all accommodations are suites or two-floor villas). We like to walk straight onto the beach from the room.

What a breathtaking view, and to be able to walk right out onto the beach was priceless. The offshore reef was magnificent, and we enjoyed snorkeling several times daily during our stay. The daily maid service is great. Beautiful iguanas and ducks frequent the grounds. This beach will always occupy its own special place in our hearts!

For the third year now we have stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort for two weeks in early February. The ... staff at the front desk were a pleasure to talk with. Very friendly and helpful... The beach is incredible with very good snorkeling just off the reef(s) and around the general beach area. It is after all considered to be the most beautiful beach on the island considering the vistas looking down island toward St. John , Tortola , Jost and others. The location on the East End is also a plus with easy access to ferries, groceries and many excellent restaurants. We love the ambiance, location and easy access to St. John and it's many extraordinary beaches. It is nice to have such a beautiful "home base" where you can relax, swim, snorkel or just get into a good book and chill out between adventures. 49 more weeks!!!
